The Active Directory / Group Policy Administrator will support the day to day operations of DLA Email System to include proper functioning of the systems and troubleshoot problems as they arise. The support of these requirements are for both the NIPRNET and SIPRNET. The Administrator will be responsible for meeting the requirements detailed in Section 18.104.22.168. This position will be working off site but will need to be within commuting distance of a DLA Major Subordinate Command (MSC). Contractor may be asked to attend meeting at local DLA site or come on site to assist with work related to his job or attend training.
The Administrator will support subset applications to support DLA Email system as a whole, i.e., Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Microsoft Azure, SPAM Filtering, Content Filtering and support, monitoring the flow and delivery of messaging traffic. The Administrator will keep the e-mail environment update with the latest Microsoft updates and patched as they are provided by DLA Information Operation Information Assurance.
Administrators Primary focus will be the support of Exchange and Active Directory related tickets sent to the directory services que and the completing of incidents assigned to the directory services. These incidents consist of researching mail relate actions such as researching date and time messages where sent/received, recovery of deleted mail items, and extraction of mailbox related items. This position will require strong communication skills and a person that is very meticulous. Documentation on actions taken is key and the ability to follow complex procedures.
