James Curry to Present at Nashville SharePoint and Office 365 Users Group - March 14, 2017

Topic Details
New options available in SharePoint and SharePoint Online include the Modern UI, which has been available in SharePoint Online and is now available for SharePoint on premises with SharePoint 2016 Feature Pack 1. This is an important feature set for a hybrid SharePoint scenario to maintain a consistent look and feel. SharePoint 2016 also includes expanded Feature Pack 1 MinRole options, such as reducing the number or servers for a MinRole deployment from 8 to 4.

The advantages of MinRoles, farm topologies, and how to mirror the new MinRole deployments without using Feature Pack 1 will also be discussed. Finally, the SharePoint Patterns and Practices Responsive UI plugin provides a quick, supported, and effective way to make standard SharePoint site mobile friendly. Combined with Office Web Apps in SharePoint 2013 or Office Online Server in SharePoint 2016 these provide a way to take your current SharePoint implementation and Office documents on mobile devices today.
