Business Collaboration Applications Administrator

Location: Contractor Place of Business

IAT Level: IAT - II 

Dates: 1 yr + 3*1-yr option 

Clearance (if required): Secret 

This position will work off-site (contractor site) with periodic meetings at the customer’s site in Battle Creek, MI.

The candidate is responsible for planning, designing, troubleshooting, and providing day-to-day support for the SharePoint environment. They will set up, configure, and maintain the SharePoint application environment. They are also responsible for collecting, analyzing and creating reports from SharePoint.
The candidate will support DLA’s SharePoint environment and maintain greater than or equal to 98% operation availability for Enterprise Media SharePoint applications. The Contractor shall improve DLA SharePoint system and architecture through enhancements and exception coding to address the needs of DLA. The contractor shall assist Information Assurance by implementing mitigation to provide, situational awareness to ensure the health and scalability and implementation of SharePoint. Candidate will also support DLA Blogs utilizing a WordPress Solution to achieve required functionality IAW the needs of DLA.

 Activities include:

  1. Create reports in order to provide summaries and areas of concerns from log events
  2. Install and configure SharePoint and support products
  3. Integrate data /event feeds when necessary
  4. Perform upgrades, maintenance, a performance tuning
  5. Document security operations architecture
  6. Perform application analysis to confirm capability to support anticipated event load
  7. Define anticipated user types and roles, and maintain user access
  8. Determine data storage policies/capabilities, including affected SharePoint environments and provide supporting documentation
  9. Provide technical and administrative support to include analyzing and refining system requirements, design, architecture, performance, monitoring and security IAW DoD/DLA/IA policies, and directives
  10. Perform network and server administration tasks and log reviews to ensure server connectivity and user availability
  11. Perform typical SharePoint administration tasks including the creation, monitoring, accessing, and changing of user and service accounts
  12. Assess new computing technologies and the feasibility of system enhancements to determine potential value for the Agency
  13. Plan, design, develop, test and implement software enhancements to incorporate new functionality or to improve current functionality
  14. Ensure that all production and testing application baselines are operational every morning
  15. Work with customers and Enterprise Media personnel to test applications to ensure software, systems quality, and functionality meets requirements
  16. Submit request for code progression
  17. Comply with change /configuration management policies
  18. Execute processes and procedures for system integration testing and integrate new or modified DLA SharePoint application software in the testing environment
  19. Utilizes a tracking system to monitor and display assigned task for all program code /development/enhancements /etc.
  20. Provide and perform application performance measurement and reporting

Responsibilities / Required Skills:

 

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of applications software development concepts and techniques to design, code, and debug programs
  2. Demonstrate knowledge of query languages, such as SQL, as well as knowledge of computer programming languages such as C#.NET
  3. Maintain expertise in Microsoft PowerShell is required
  4. Maintain expertise in Microsoft SharePoint solutions, applications, and technologies is required
  5. Maintain expertise with all .NET applications and component framework
  6. Must be proficient in:
    1. MS Office Suite
    2. MS Project
    3. MS Visio
    4. HTML
    5. VB Script
    6. XML
    7. Microsoft ASP.Net

  7. Must have Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience

  9. DoD IA experience with policies and best practices in accordance with DIACAP/RMF

Education:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field (Or equivalent work experience: minimum of 4 additional years’ experience)
  2. Highly desire advanced education in fields related to position
Certifications: 
  1. Must have Security+ CE or higher for an IA certification:
  2. Must have one of the following:
    1. MCSE: Business Intelligence (retired)
    2. MCSE: Data Platform (retired)
    3. MCSE: Data Management and Analytics
    4. MSCE: SharePoint (retired)
    5. MCSE: Productivity
    6. MCITP: SharePoint Administrator 2010 (retired)
    7. MOS: Microsoft SharePoint 2013
    8. MCSD: SharePoint Applications (retired)
    9. MCSD: App Builder
 

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  1. Four (4) years relevant experience in designing, developing and administering Microsoft SharePoint
  2. Must have a minimum of six-(6) years of general IT experience
  3. Must have a minimum of six-(6) years of experience with deployment of DoD IT systems
  4. Must have a minimum of three-(3) years of experience in designing, developing and administrating Microsoft SQL Server
  5. Must have a minimum of three-(3) years of relevant experience in designing, developing and deployment of Dashboards (Management Information Systems)
  6. Must of SDLC Experience
